Devoted Doxies is a dedicated miniature Dachshund breeder and Yorkshire Terrier breeder based in Belfair, WA, where we take pride in offering a responsible and transparent breeding service focused on quality, temperament, and long-term health. As a trusted Dachshund breeder, we primarily focus on miniature Dachshunds while also maintaining a small, carefully managed Yorkshire Terrier program that includes two females and one male. All of our dogs are AKC-registered, and every litter we produce is also registered with the AKC to ensure proper lineage and documentation. Before any dam or sire enters our breeding program between the ages of 1.5 to 6 years, we complete comprehensive DNA testing through Embark and, in some cases, the University of California, Davis. Any dog that tests positive for a genetic disorder is removed from our program, spayed or neutered, and either retained as a companion or placed with a suitable family.
Our approach allows us to confidently offer a genetic health guarantee within our contract, reflecting our commitment to producing healthy, well-adjusted puppies. Current pricing for both miniature Dachshund and Yorkshire Terrier puppies is $3000, subject to change at our discretion. To reserve a puppy, a signed contract and a $500 deposit are required, which is applied toward the total balance of $2500 due prior to pickup at approximately 10 weeks of age. For families who are not local to Belfair, WA, we provide transportation assistance by car or plane, with certain options available at no cost or at a minimal fee. When air travel is necessary, we coordinate safe “in-cabin” transport only through licensed pet nannies or approved services, and we do not allow cargo or pet-safe airline shipping under any circumstances. We remain committed to responsible practices, clear communication, and placing each puppy in a home where it will be valued and well cared for for years to come.
